Recovery companions also offer assistance through the challenges of treatment execution: transporting clients to and from facilities, accompanying them through high-risk events or episodes; ensuring that what happens after they leave the clinician’s office is consistent with the plans and strategies outlined for them. Recovery companions are not “just babysitters;” the time they spend with clients is spent observing, teaching and supporting. Many clinicians appreciate the reports they receive on clients’ day to day activities and well-being.

Your recovery companion is not working alone. Each companion is supported by expert staff that is interested and involved to provide every client with the best possible care.
